Manchester United are on course to snatch fourth place ahead of rivals Manchester City and Arsenal, according to the Sky Sports Premier Predictor.
Jose Mourinho's men are on a 20-game unbeaten run in the Premier League but remain in sixth place in the table.
And yet, the Sky Sports Premier Predictor is tipping them to edge out City and Arsenal in a tight race for the final Champions League qualifying spot.
United are rated as having a 51 per cent chance of making the top four but City have a 37 per cent chance with Arsenal down at 35 per cent.
The average number of points picked up in a simulated season has only a point splitting the three teams - it's that close.
Up at the top, Chelsea have a 98 per cent chance of winning the title but down at the bottom there is more drama expected.
Swansea are currently in the drop zone but the Sky Sports Premier Predictor takes account of future fixtures and suggests Crystal Palace are at more risk of relegation.
