In this week's visit to the Premier League vault, we relive Chelsea's 4-0 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in 2001.
It was a thrilling encounter in December of the 2001/02 season between two sides who meet once again this week, live on Friday Night Football.
Graeme Le Saux opened the scoring for Claudio Ranieri's men with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink going close not long after with a thunderbolt effort that was pushed away by Reds stopper Jerzy Dudek.
The Dutch striker doubled the Blues' lead in the 28th minute before a young Steven Gerrard tested the skills of Carlo Cudicini.
The Chelsea goalkeeper was then again called into action as he saved a penalty from Gary McAllister, much to the delight of Mario Melchiot, who had fouled John Arne Riise.
It was then that the Blues went on to seal the game in the second half, with Samuele Dalla Bona striking with 20 minutes to play and Eidur Gudjohnsen rounding off the scoring in the 90th minute.
