Premier League title race: Leicester, Tottenham and Arsenal run-ins analysed

Title run-in graphic

With just six games standing between Leicester City and Premier League glory, we analyse the run-ins as the title race enters the home straight.

Despite running out convincing winners at Bournemouth on Saturday - and having a game in hand on the leaders - Manchester City are arguably more involved in the race for the top four as opposed to a title charge, with the two-time Premier League champions 15 points behind Leicester.

Tottenham 32 32 62
Arsenal 31 22 58

Tottenham are seven behind Leicester following their 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Saturday while Arsenal, who also have a game in hand on the top two, have 11 points to make up on the Foxes.

Remaining fixtures

Leicester don't have any remaining fixtures against the rest of the top four - although they do face a daunting final three games against Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea.

Of Leicester's remaining opponents, only West Ham, Manchester United and Chelsea are in the top half of the Premier League table, with the Hammers the only top-10 side travelling to King Power Stadium on matchday 34.

Spurs also play two of their final three games on the road, with trips to Chelsea and Newcastle sandwiching their home clash with Southampton.

Arsene Wenger's side, meanwhile, round off their 2015/16 season with home games against relegation-battlers Norwich and seemingly doomed Aston Villa either side of their potentially decisive trip to Man City.

Total games left

Leicester's early exit from both domestic cup competitions means they have been able to concentrate solely on the Premier League for some time. With no European competition to worry about, the Foxes have just six games remaining this season and are able to focus all of their efforts on the Premier League title race.

Arsenal find themselves in a similar situation having been dumped out of the Champions League and FA Cup by Barcelona and Watford respectively.

Tottenham's participation in the Europa League came to an abrupt end at the hands of competition favourites Borussia Dortmund, leaving Mauricio Pochettino's side six games left to secure a first top-flight crown since 1961.

Injuries

Leicester have the advantage when it comes to injuries right now, with just two players - Matty James and Jeff Schlupp - on the sidelines.

It's fair to say the Foxes' rivals haven't been as fortunate. According to premierleague.com, Arsenal have six and Tottenham have four players out injured, the most notable of which include Aaron Ramsey and Jan Vertonghen.

Conclusion

The title race is intriguingly poised as we enter the final straight. The final three fixtures on the calendar throw up some mouth-watering clashes, including Arsenal's trip to Man City and Leicester's tough treble of Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea - but will the Foxes be champions by then?

Leicester have been fortunate with injuries and, with no cup or European commitments to worry about, they have been able to maintain their unlikely title bid - and can remain quietly confident about their chances of pulling off a remarkable shock.

Tottenham also have a golden opportunity to win their first Premier League title, while former champions Arsenal are still in with a fighting chance. There's still a long way to go...
