Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho issues warning to Leicester City
Saturday 12 March 2016 11:48, UK
Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho is confident Leicester will slip up in the Premier League title race and believes City can catch them.
Ahead of Man City's clash with Norwich, live on Sky Sports 1 HD, they find themselves in fourth place, 10 points adrift of leaders Leicester City, albeit with a game in hand.
Fernandinho thinks the gap to the league leaders is one they can chase down and has questioned whether Claudio Ranieri's men can handle the pressure of being the ones to catch.
He said: "I still believe in the title. We are 10 points behind the leaders and the last 10 games will be interesting for us. Leicester will now start to play with some pressure on them and it's not easy to play as a favourite. The title race is still open because I believe they will drop points. The title race is still open."
Man City have endured an inconsistent season of results in the Premier League. They have the best record in the Premier League against sides in the current bottom half of the table, but they are fourth worst when facing teams in the top half and they haven't won back-to-back games since October.

However, their title bid could be boosted by the return to fitness of injured stars Kevin De Bruyne, Samir Nasri and Fabian Delph - a theory which Fernandinho agrees with.
When asked if City have under-performed this season, he replied: "I think we have, but we've had a lot of problems, especially with injured players. The Premier League is tough. The way we like to play is difficult when you can't rotate the team."
