Manchester United have had more injuries than Arsenal since the start of last season.

The Gunners currently have 10 players sidelined, with key men including Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin in the treatment room.

Arsene Wenger has also been without Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck for long periods over the past season and a half.

However, according to physioroom.com, Manchester United have in fact seen more players injured - and miss more days - since the 2014/15 season kicked off.

In that time, Louis van Gaal has had 32 players pick up injuries. Luke Shaw (254 days), who is currently out with a broken leg, and Phil Jones (206) have been out for the most time. In total, United's players have missed a combined 2,582 days.

Arsenal's players have missed a combined 2,542 days in the same period.

Welbeck (281 days) and Wilshere (257) have spent the most time out of action for the Londoners. Welbeck was also injured for 22 days while still with Manchester United at the start of the 2014/15 season, before his move to Arsenal.

Daniel Sturridge (365 days out) makes up a substantial part of Liverpool's 2,339 days out since the start of last season, while Manchester City (1,708), Tottenham (1,457) and Chelsea (1,138) have been more fortunate.

The form of current Premier League high-flyers Leicester City could be put down to the fact their players have only missed 1,028 days over the same period - and that includes the combined 363 days Matty James and Dean Hammond have been injured.
