Crystal Palace have insider knowledge on Newcastle, Keith Millen says

Crystal Palace will use their inside knowledge of Newcastle as they aim to rediscover their home form on Saturday, Keith Millen says.

Coach Millen stood in for Alan Pardew at the pre-match press conference as the former Newcastle manager kept a low profile ahead of his latest reunion with his old employers.

The sides drew 1-1 at Selhurst Park in February, since when Palace have added two more ex-Toon men to their ranks in the shape of midfielder Yohan Cabaye and goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman.

And, according to Millen, this weekend's meeting represents a decent chance for Palace to end a run of three home games without a win.

He said: "We have Alan here, Yohan was obviously there as a player. They all enjoyed it there, they were successful and enjoyed working with the players.

"Andy Woodman left at the start of the season so we know a lot about their players. We have an insight into their individuals, but we don't know what team they will play."

Sunderland left south London with a 1-0 win on Monday, while Newcastle make the trip on the back of a 3-0 home defeat to Leicester and a week of training-ground confrontation.

"We expect a reaction from them after the disappointment of losing at home. They try and play football.

"We are disappointed for Monday and this is a chance to bounce back. We have been playing okay at Selhurst, but teams are making it hard for us."

Palace will be without winger Bakary Sako, who is injured and will miss "at least a couple of weeks", according to Millen.
