Former Liverpool, Sunderland and QPR striker Djibril Cisse has announced his retirement from football.
Cisse has been without a club since leaving Bastia at the end of last season and has now taken decision to call time on his career.
Cisse made 41 appearances for France, scoring nine times and is best known in English football for his time with Liverpool.
The 34-year-old, who spent five years in English football, had two seasons at Anfield, scoring 24 goals and winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FA Cup.
Cisse also fired 11 goals in 38 appearances during a loan spell at Sunderland and scored another 10 times during his third spell in England with QPR.
He also featured for Auxerre, Marseille, Panathinaikos, Lazio, Al-Gharafa, Kuban Krasnodar, and Bastia during a 17-year career during which he scored more than 250 goals for club and country.
But Cisse told French television that it's the right time to call time on his career.
"The body says stop, now it's over," Cisse told Canal+. "I can't practice high-level football."
