Mesut Ozil created more goals than any other Premier League player in 2015/16 - but despite finishing top of the assists table, he just missed the chance to set a new record.
The Arsenal midfielder has finished the campaign with 19 assists to his name - a total which matches the top mark set by Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas in 2014/15.
However, Ozil, like Fabregas last season, has seen a significant drop-off in his productivity since the turn of the year.
The German had 16 assists to his name at the end of December but has added just three to his tally since then. Fabregas was on 15 after the first half of 2014/15 and managed just three more.
That means Ozil falls just one assist short of matching Thierry Henry's record mark from 2002/03, and he is tied with Fabregas and Frank Lampard (2004/05 with Chelsea) in second spot.
The 27-year-old finished well clear of his competitors in this category this season, though, with Tottenham's Christian Eriksen five behind on 13 and West Ham's Dimitri Payet and Southampton's Dusan Tadic tied third with 12.
