Man City's surprise loss to West Ham United at the Etihad "was a good result for Chelsea", according to Sky Sports pundit Davie Provan.
City suffered their first setback in the Premier League this season after going down 2-1 to Slaven Bilic's side on Saturday Night Football.
And Provan thinks that the top-flight leaders - who had gone into the match on the back of a club-record 11-game winning run stretching back to the previous campaign - may have been suffering the after effects of their midweek defeat to Juventus in the Champions League.
"City looked hungover after the Juventus result," Provan said after the match.
However, as far as the visitors are concerned, Provan wondered just what impact the win could have on their season, with the Hammers now up to second in the table after they followed up their victories at Arsenal and Liverpool earlier this season with this result.
"You wonder how far West Ham can now go?" said Provan.
Meanwhile, there was also another team who would have greatly enjoyed West Ham's win, and that was Premier League champions Chelsea, who the Scot now feels are back in the title race.
"This was a good result for Chelsea," he said.
