All the latest news from around Europe, as Juventus consider offering Paulo Dybala as a makeweight to sign Liverpool's Mo Salah.

With the rumour mill already back up and running only a fortnight after the January Transfer Window closed, our friends at Football Whispers have been scouring the European newspapers for the latest transfer news...

Italy

Juventus are 'serious' about offering Paulo Dybala as a makeweight in an attempt to lure Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah to Turin. While there is no suggestion Salah is looking to leave Anfield, Dybala's future is a more delicate subject.

The Argentine reacted angrily to being an unused substitute in Juve's recent 3-3 draw with Parma, storming down the tunnel after seeing Max Allegri summon Emre Can as the last change. (Tuttosport)

Mauro Icardi's Inter future has been plunged into uncertainty after the forward was stripped of the captaincy and excluded from their squad for Thursday night's Europa League clash with Rapid Wien. It relates to ongoing tension surrounding Wanda Nara, the player's agent and wife, and the club over protracted contract talks. (La Gazzetta dello Sport)

AC Milan and Napoli are the frontrunners to sign PSV forward Hirving Lozano. The Mexico international was a Barcelona and Manchester United transfer target in the summer and has enhanced his reputation this season with 13 goals and six assists in 20 Eredivisie appearances. Milan believe their strong relationship with agent Mino Raiola will help edge out their rivals. (Calciomercato)

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici was in Amsterdam last night to watch Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt. The Dutchman captained the hosts but fell to a 2-1 defeat to the reigning European champions. Paratici was more concerned with the player, though, attempting to ensure Juve are in pole position to sign the 19-year-old in the summer. (Calciomercato)

Barcelona are not planning to offer midfielder Ivan Rakitic a contract extension. The Croatian's current deal expires in 2021 and, despite his recent declaration that he wants to remain at the Camp Nou, the club are reluctant to increase his salary.

Barca are currently revamping their midfield, having signed Arthur Melo and Arturo Vidal last summer and with Frenkie de Jong set to arrive at the end of the season. It leaves Rakitic's future in doubt, with Chelsea and Inter among those keeping tabs on the 30-year-old. (Sport)

James Rodriguez has his heart set on a return to Real Madrid. The Colombian, who has been on loan at Bayern Munich since the start of last season, is on the radar of Arsenal and Juventus but the player favours the opportunity to re-establish himself in the Spanish capital. (Marca)

Atletico Madrid have stepped up their pursuit of Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo, who is also a Manchester City and Arsenal transfer target. The 23-year-old, who came close to joining Napoli last summer, has scored four goals and added five assists and was on target in Benfica's 10-0 annihilation of Nacional at the weekend. Frenkie de Jong rejected a 'blank cheque' offer from Paris Saint-Germain before deciding to join Barcelona. The Dutchman is also believed to have turned down Manchester City. Barca forked out £74m for his services. (Mundo Deportivo)

Germany

Chelsea are ready to rival Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race to sign Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt. The German club are expected to sign the striker, who is currently on loan from Benfica, permanently in the summer for £7m before selling him on. The Blues are ready to offer £45m for the striker, who has 14 Bundesliga goals this term. (Bild)

Bayern Munich are not expected to chase Rabiot either. The Bundesliga giants are not said to be interested in the 23-year-old and, with Barcelona no longer an option after they sealed de Jong's signature, Rabiot is fast running out of options. (Kicker)

France

Atletico Madrid are considering a move for Nice star Allan Saint-Maximin. The 21-year-old winger has emerged as one of French football's hottest properties this season and has also attracted the attention of AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund. (Le10Sport)

Tottenham have ended their interest in PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The contract rebel, set to leave the French capital this summer, rebuffed an approach from Spurs during the winter window. As a result, the Premier League side have decided against further pursuing his signature. (Le10Sport)
