Manchester City's David Silva sent a heart-warming message to boss Pep Guardiola after the midfielder missed the club’s title parade to be with his son.
Silva's boy Mateo was born prematurely in December and he has been in and out of the City side in recent months, often taking leave to return to his family back in Spain.
The 32-year-old was in his homeland during City's open-top bus parade title celebrations in Manchester to spend time with his son.
In a video message on Twitter he said: "I want to apologise for not being able to celebrate the title with you today.
"I want to say thank you to the fans, my team-mates, the staff, club and especially to the manager for understanding my situation. You are a top human being, I will be in your debt forever so thank you very much."
Guardiola was not the only person to receive praise in the message, hit play on the video at the top of the page to see who else Silva had a special mention for.
