Michail Antonio netted twice as West Ham beat Dagenham & Redbridge 3-1 in a friendly on Wednesday to help the National League side raise money.
The Hammers named a strong starting XI at the Chigwell Construction Stadium, including a first start for Jordan Hugill since his January arrival, as the Daggers looked to increase their funds after their main benefactor withdrew funding in February.
Antonio netted the first of his two strikes in the 42nd minute after Luke Pennell's clearance to come off Nathan Holland and into the path of the West Ham winger, who dinked over the goalkeeper to put the visitors ahead.
Eleven minutes after the restart, Antonio nabbed his second of the evening to double West Ham's lead. He latched onto a fine through ball from substitute Josh Pask before slotting home past Daggers stopper Mark Cousins.
But Dagenham pulled one back in the 59th minute and after seeing three quickfire efforts blocked by the Hammers, it was Mason Bloomfield who eventually netted from Dan Sparkes' cross.
Despite the Daggers nearly nabbing an equaliser, it was Hugill who had the last word with just three minutes of normal time to play as he got onto the end of Anthony Scully's cross from the right wing before seeing it home.
