David Wagner admitted the mood in camp has been lifted after Huddersfield ended their four-match losing run with a 2-0 victory over Brighton.
Steve Mounie's first-half double ensured Huddersfield leapfrogged Brighton into 11th in the Premier League table.
And having shipped in 13 goals in their previous four games, Wagner was delighted with the manner of Huddersfield's victory over a fellow-promoted side.
"I'm very happy and proud," Wagner told Sky Sports after the match. "The mood is different than it has been in the last few weeks. I'm delighted because the players played independent from the circumstance we were in.
"We said we have to be focused on ourselves, on our game plan, on the players' talent, and this is what they have shown today.
"We were on the front foot from the first second. We created a lot of good opportunities and it was a deserved result."
Mounie bundled in Huddersfield's first off his thigh after 12 minutes, while his second came just before half-time as his header squeezed past Mat Ryan.
It was a welcome return to form for Mounie, who had not netted since the opening day of the season, and Wagner hopes it can kick-start a goalscoring run for the 23-year-old.
"I was very happy with his performance, but overall it was strong from the whole team. The defence worked their socks off, and we were brave to play in tight spaces," Wagner added.
"But he got the two goals. It's very important for him and for us. As a striker, you need goals to be brave, and this is why I'm very happy for him. It can continue from my point of view."
Huddersfield have now won three of their last four games at home, with the only defeat in that time coming against league leaders Manchester City.
The Terriers' home form has accounted for 14 of their 18 points in their inaugural season in the Premier League, and Wagner admits the support has aided them at the John Smith's Stadium.
"At home we have produced good performances. Today was for sure one of the best, but we have to be honest, it's different if you play Manchester United, Tottenham or Manchester City at home," Wagner said.
"This home support plays a big part in our home record so far. This energy that the stands produce, the players were able to take that and long may it continue."
