France looked set to hold on and make it three victories in a row against Germany, who they beat in the European Championship semi-finals last summer, only for Stindl to equalise with virtually the final kick of the game.

After holding Germany to a goalless draw on Friday, England did the same to a full-strength Brazil at Wembley.

There was concern over Sergio Aguero as Argentina lost 4-2 to Nigeria in Russia.

The Manchester City striker scored but was then substituted at half-time, with the Argentinian Football Federation later announcing he had been taken to hospital after fainting.

Ever Banega and Aguero had put Argentina two up but Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back just before half-time and Nigeria turned the tables in the second half thanks to a double from Arsenal's Alex Iwobi and a debut goal for Brian Idowu.
