Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann played 63 games this season racking up 5,454 minutes on the pitch, making him the most used player in Europe.
A study by the CIES Football Observatory showed that the Frenchman played all but two league games and racked up 12 Champions League matches along with other cup and international appearances to top the heap of most minutes played.
Leicester City's Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was second, with 61 games and 5,290 minutes, having arrived in the Premier League in January from Genk, who started their season in late July.
Another Atletico stalwart, Koke, is third with 62 games (5,274 minutes), followed by Monaco pair Danijel Subasic (5,250 minutes) and Kamil Glik (5,190).
Jose Mourinho had to deal with fatigue and injuries during a busy first season with Manchester United, and his players Paul Pogba (seventh, 5,143 minutes), David de Gea (19th, 4,680 minutes), Antonio Valencia (69th, 4,224 minutes) and Ander Herrera (95th, 4,041 minutes) all featured in the top 100.
That's compared to six players from Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham, with Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Victor Wanyama all playing over 4,000 minutes each.
Ten players from the top 100 should be featuring in the Champions League final on Saturday as Juventus face Real Madrid.
Gonzalo Higuain, Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci, Mario Mandzukic and Sami Khedira have all played over 4,000 minutes for Juve this term, while Toni Kroos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Keylor Navas have been routinely used by Real.
The study counted all games from players in five leagues in Europe: England, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain.
The CIES is located in Neuchatel, Switzerland, and was created as a joint venture between the FIFA and the local university.
