Theo Walcott believes Mesut Ozil has adopted a more aggressive style of play, which has helped him become more of a goalscoring threat for Arsenal.
Ozil's second-half hat-trick helped Arsenal to a 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
The German has six goals already this season - two fewer than he scored in the whole of 2015/16 - and the change in his approach was acknowledged by Arsene Wenger after the Ludogorets game.
Ozil's team-mates are also lining up to praise him, compatriot Shkodran Mustafi telling the club website: "I think he has all that you need on the pitch."
And Walcott, whose own fine form in front of goal continued with an eighth of the season against Ludogorets, told Sky Sports News HQ Ozil's stats are down to a new aggression.
"He showed me how to score a hat-trick anyway," said Walcott. "He's worked really hard, he's looking strong and fit and you can see there's a new aggressive level about his play.
"He's ruthless in front of goal just now and chipping in with a lot more goals, so hopefully it can continue."
Arsenal are unbeaten since losing to Liverpool on the opening weekend of the Premier League and have won seven straight games.
"I said last year this team has underperformed," Walcott added. "It could potentially be the best squad I've been amongst: technically, some of these players are fantastic to be around."
