Napoli and Roma are interested in signing Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, according to Sky sources.
Darmian joined United last summer from Torino but his form dipped after a promising start to his Old Trafford career.
The 26-year-old recently stated his intention to fight for his place at United but he failed to earn a spot in the match-day squad for either the FA Community Shield win over Leicester or Sunday's 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.
The Italian international has fallen behind Antonio Valencia in the pecking order under Jose Mourinho, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah is also an option at right-back.
The 18-year-old Dutchman is reportedly close to signing a contract extension at United after breaking through last season.
Fosu-Mensah made ten appearances for the first team after coming making his debut as a substitute in the 3-2 win over Arsenal last February.
Mourinho has been clear in his desire to work with 23 first-team players this season so keeping three right-backs is unlikely, although Darmian can also provide cover on the left side of defence.
