The documentary 'Pep' looks at the challenges Pep Guardiola has faced on his journey from iconic player to the world's most-sought after coach

Pep Guardiola, one of the biggest names in football, has finally arrived in the Premier League and make sure you catch a fascinating documentary about Manchester City's new head coach on Sky Sports on Monday night.

Guardiola, 45, took over at City this summer after three seasons in charge at Bayern Munich, during which time he won three Bundesliga titles in a row.

Previously, the Catalan had enjoyed huge success at the helm of his boyhood club, Barcelona, who he also played for with great distinction.

Guardiola is credited with revolutionising the way football was played and looked at during his four campaigns managing Barca, when he guided the club to multiple La Liga and Champions League triumphs.

Monday's documentary, entitled 'Pep' and presented by Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, looks into Guardiola's time as a player in the great Barcelona 'Dream Team' of the early nineties under the late Johan Cruyff.

The film, which features interviews with, among others, Xavi Hernandez, Thierry Henry, Xabi Alonso, Robert Lewandowski, Michael Laudrup, Sergio Busquets, Joan Laporta, Pep's father and Txiki Begiristain, also examines the challenges Guardiola has faced on his journey from iconic midfielder at the Nou Camp to the world's most sought-after coach.
