Jurgen Klopp is keen for Liverpool to find a solution to the contract situation of Joe Allen.
The Liverpool midfielder only has a year remaining on his current deal and has reportedly been attracting interest after impressing during Euro 2016.
Allen helped Wales reached their first semi-final of a major tournament earlier this month in France and was included in UEFA's team of the tournament.
The 26-year-old, who has made over 90 appearances for the Reds since joining from Swansea in 2012, has yet to hold any talks over a new deal.
"We will find a solution but it's not done," Klopp said after Liverpool's 5-0 friendly win on Wednesday night.
"Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team.
"We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That's how it works."
