Belgium coach Marc Wilmots admits he will consider his future following his side's quarter-final exit to Wales at Euro 2016.
Belgium were ranked second in the world by FIFA ahead of the tournament, but missed out on their first major semi-final in 30 years as goals from Ashley Williams, Hal Robson-Kanu and Sam Vokes condemned then to a 3-1 loss.
And Wilmots is under pressure for failing to get the most out of what is regarded as a golden generation of players after they also fell in the last eight at the 2014 World Cup.
"This Belgian team is a team that demands respect, but we let things go a bit today and we paid for that in cash," he said.
"I'm going to take my time. I said I'll make my decision after the Euros."
Wilmots was eager to praise Wales, who now go forward to play Portugal in Wednesday's semi-final in Lyon.
And despite his disappointment, he argued a quarter-final finish was a respectable outcome for his players.
He added: "We were listed among the teams that could have gone all the way and I said over two years ago we've got to be in the quarter-finals.
"But clearly when you go out, you want to go further because you're competitive and of course the players have a bad taste left in their mouths.
"Ultimately, things didn't go our way and we made too many mistakes to win this match against a very good Wales side.
"I'd like to say they know how to play football and they've got good talent in there, so well done to them.
"We could have played better but I can't really explain why we kept dropping off. Perhaps we were dropping too deep and fearing the space behind. That's where you need a lot of character."
