Robert Lewandowski says outgoing Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola will improve any team he chooses to take over in the Premier League.
Last month, Guardiola confirmed he would be standing down at the Allianz Arena at the end of the current campaign after three successful years in the Bundesliga, while signalling his intention to pursue a career in England.
He has been reportedly linked with moves to Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United but Lewandowski thinks Guardiola has already made up his mind and backed the 45-year-old to succeed in the Premier League.
"I know Pep can improve a team in England," the Poland international told the Mail on Sunday. "I think he knows where he's going and he knows what he needs to do with the team he's going to, so that they play much better.
"He will focus on technique and perhaps more possession than is the norm in England. But Pep knows the Premier League is different from the Spanish league or the Bundesliga. I'm sure he can do something new in terms of tactics and technique."
Guardiola has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles with Bayern, as well as the DFB-Pokal, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup and Lewandowski, who has scored 17 league goals this term, is desperate to help his manager add to that haul this season.
Lewandowski said: "The first time I heard Pep's decision I thought it was a shame. But after that, I knew I'd to come here to train and play and I'm sure we'll carry on in the same direction with Pep right to the end of the season.
"It's important for me to have a good second half of the season. And if we do win something then we will celebrate with Pep," he added. "Pep thinks about football 24 hours a day. He covers every angle to the smallest detail and he always demands 100 per cent in training and in games."
