Nicky Law has warned Rangers' Championship rivals that the Ibrox side are working every day on becoming even more clinical in front of goal.
The start of manager Mark Warburton's reign has brought an impressive 12 goals in just three games.
After smashing Hibernian for six in the Petrofac Training Cup, Rangers scored three against both Peterhead in the League Cup and St Mirren in their Championship opener, but also missed a raft of chances to make the scorelines ever more emphatic.
However, Law insists former Brentford boss Warburton will not allow his players to rest on their laurels.
"We're not being clinical enough which is being disappointing," said the former Motherwell man.
"That's three wins out of three but the manager hasn't been happy after any of them because we haven't scored as many as we should.
"Usually after scoring 12 goals in three games you'd be happy but it could have been far more. Against St Mirren we missed a lot of chances and made it a lot tougher than it should have been.
"But we're working on it. We're doing crossing and finishing exercises every day and I'm sure as the season goes on it will get better. It has to.
"Everybody is enjoying the style of play the manager has brought in. It's Total Football if you like. We're passing out from the back and although there are some harum-scarum moments with [keeper] Wes [Foderingham] playing it out but it's what the manager wants.
“Keep the ball and don't panic. That will improve too as the season goes on."
More than 49,000 fans packed into Ibrox on Friday to see Rangers kick-off their promotion bid with a 3-1 success.
It was a far cry from the early days of 2015 when many Light Blues supporters boycotted home games as they went to war with the former regime in charge of the club, sometimes leaving crowds as sparse as 11,000 to cheer the team on.
"It's night and day," said Law when asked about the change in atmosphere at the ground. "The fans are right behind us and they are loving the football we are putting on.
"It's been six weeks of hard work up until this point but you can see how quickly the fans have got behind us.
"If this is what they are like after six weeks, what will they be like in six months if we keep building the way we are?"
Rangers were led out again by Lee Wallace against St Mirren and the left-back responded to his leadership role with an impressive double.
Warburton has yet to confirm who his full-time skipper will be but Law is in no doubt who should continue to wear the armband.
He said: "Lee is definitely captain material. I think having the armband now is bringing the best out of him.
"And it's not just on the field, but off it too. He's talking to everyone before the game and making sure we're zoned in. You can see there's a captain there.
"He's probably learned from people he's played with and that's the character Waldo is. He's always learning because he's obsessed with football."
