Antonio Luna has left Aston Villa for Hellas Verona on a season-long loan, with the Serie A side having an option to buy the full-back.
The 23-year-old Spaniard moved to Villa Park from Sevilla last summer and was a regular starter before Christmas.
However, his last appearance came as a substitute in the 2-2 draw at Liverpool on January 18 as on-loan defender Ryan Bertrand laid claim to the position.
Luna follows Nicklas Helenius and Yacouba Sylla out of the club on loan deals - the duo having joined Aalborg and Kayseri Erciyesspor respectively.
The ambitious Serie A club have also acquired the services of veteran Mexico captain Rafael Marquez from two-time defending Mexican champions Leon.
The 35-year-old won the French Ligue 1 crown with Monaco in 2000 and four La Liga championships with Barcelona as well as two Champions League titles.
