Venezuelan goalscorer moves to Parkhead for 2012/13 season
Neil Lennon has added Getafe striker Nicolas Fedor to Celtic's ranks on a season-long loan just before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Venezuelan, also known as Miku, joined the Madrid-based club in January 2010 following a series of loans while owned by Valencia.
The 27-year-old scored 21 times for Getafe but will now add to the Parkhead manager's striking options as he prepares for a tough UEFA Champions League group that includes Barcelona.
"He's a powerful striker, and we were looking to add to that department," Lennon told
Sky Sports News.
"Miku fits the bill, he's a player we rate very highly and we are absolutely thrilled to have signed him.
"He came up on the radar three or four days ago, he is well thought-of and there were a few clubs showing interest in him. His record in La Liga is very good so he will add a bit of experience and quality as well.
"It's a department we thought we were a bit short in, we are always looking to add quality strikers and we think we have got one here."
Celtic also signed Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose on a three-year deal from Israeli side FC Ashdod on transfer deadline day.
