Defender to enjoy second season on loan at Stade Louis II
Sebastien Puygrenier has confirmed he is set to spend another season on loan at Monaco from Zenit St Petersburg.
The French defender enjoyed last term at Stade Louis II and Monaco did have an option to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent basis.
However, Puygrenier is now ready to finalise another year-long loan deal to rival Peter Hansson and Cedric Mongongu for a place in the Monaco defence.
"I passed the medical Saturday morning and signed the main documents with Monaco," Puygrenier told l'AFP.
"All that remains are some small, quick details to sort out."
Puygrenier, who spent the second half of the 2008/09 season on loan in the Premier League with Bolton Wanderers, is expected to finalise his return to Monaco on Monday.
