Slovak defender looking to earn Premier League switch
Jan Durica is hoping to use the World Cup as a springboard to sealing a dream move to England.
The Slovakia defender is currently on the books of Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow.
He has, however, endured a tough time with the capital club and took in a brief loan spell at German outfit Hannover last season.
The 28-year-old is reluctant to head back to Moscow for the 2010/11 campaign and hopes he can use the World Cup as a shop window to showcase his talent.
He admits he would welcome the opportunity to try his luck in the Premier League and will be giving his all in South Africa in an effort to earn such a switch.
"I want to go to England, it is my dream," said Durica.
"I hope there is the opportunity for me (after the World Cup)."
Hope
Durica will be thrust into the spotlight when Slovakia face England in their final Group C fixture on 23rd June.
They will be hoping to have booked their passage into the knockout stages by then, though, as Durica believes the Slovaks are capable of leaving a lasting impression on football's biggest stage.
"We've got a chance to get out of the group and show people our strength," he added.
"Of course the dream is the semi-final, the final - anything is possible."
