Veteran winger secures Bradford contract

Northern Ireland international Keith Gillespie has joined League Two promotion hopefuls Bradford on a free transfer. Gillespie has been without a club after being released by Sheffield United in January and has been handed a contract after impressing during training. The 34-year-old initially joined the Bantams merely to keep his fitness levels up, but has done enough to secure a place in manager Stuart McCall's plans. McCall told the club's official website: "Keith has fantastic ability and will be a big addition to the squad. "He initially just came in for training and had no pressure put on him but he is desperate to play." Gillespie, who has 81 international caps and began his professional career at Manchester United, will play for Bradford's reserves at Barnsley on Wednesday night.
