Wigan have completed the signing of Anthony Pilkington on an 18-month contract from Cardiff.
The 30-year-old winger is yet to make a senior appearance this season and leaves Cardiff after four-and-a-half-years with the Welsh club.
The Republic of Ireland international scored 23 goals in 111 appearances during his time at the Cardiff City Stadium and was part of the squad that achieved promotion to the Premier League in the 2017-18 season.
Wigan boss Paul Cook said: "Anthony has good experience in the Championship and Premier League, I am delighted to bring him to Wigan Athletic.
"He won promotion with Cardiff City last season so he knows what it takes to do well at this level and I am sure he will be a big asset to us for the rest of this campaign and beyond."
Wigan are currently four points above the Championship relegation places and next face Aston Villa at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
