FC Augsburg striker Alfred Finnbogason hit this superb consolation strike in Iceland’s 2-1 Nations League defeat to Switzerland

It may not have counted for much but Alfred Finnbogason scored a stunning consolation goal in Iceland's defeat to Switzerland.

The striker collected the ball 35 yards from goal, turned and unleashed a powerful strike which dipped over the goalkeeper and into the top corner.

He offered a muted celebration as Iceland were 2-0 down at the time.
