Paul Dummett has withdrawn from Wales' squad for the matches against Spain and the Republic of Ireland through injury, and has been replaced by Joe Rodon.
Dummett was left out of Newcastle United's squad to play Manchester United on Saturday after picking up the injury.
He has three caps for Wales, the third of which he won last month, nearly three years after his second cap.
Rodon's call-up is his first to the senior side, although he has played for the U21s.
The 20-year-old came through the academy at Swansea City and has broken into the first-team this season under Graham Potter.
Wales play Spain in a friendly on Thursday before facing Ireland in the Nations League on October 16.
