New Kilmarnock signing Youssouf Mulumbu says he is ready to show the real him after an unsuccessful time at Norwich.

The DR Congo international has joined Killie on a deal to the end of the season after being released by the Canaries in July.

Mulumbu is available for the game at Rugby Park against Aberdeen on Sunday, 26 November, Live on Sky Sports, and wants to show the supporters the player that became a fans' favourite at West Brom.

"I feel great, I came here two weeks ago and started training with the lads. My team-mates were great with me and I am very happy to be here," said the 30-year-old.

"I haven't come to Scotland thinking 'I've played in the Premier League', I have come here to challenge.

"I'm really looking forward now to playing and showing the real Youssouf Mulumbu, I was at Norwich for two years and it didn't really work out how I wanted so I have something to prove."

The midfielder links up again with Steve Clarke, who managed Mulumbu at West Brom between June 2013 and December 2014.

The pair helped the Baggies to eighth in the Premier League, their best finish in the division, in Clarke's only full season in charge and the new signing explained the manager was a big reason in him heading north of the border after eight years in England.

Mulumbu said: "Obviously I didn't come to Kilmarnock just like that; I spoke to Steve Clarke and he told me everything about the club. It was a big impact for me that he was here, I worked with him for a year and a half.

"I know he's an honest manager, the way he trains and the way he wants to play so it's a big effect for me to come here."
