Northern Ireland striker Josh Magennis has joined Sky Bet League One side Charlton from Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee.
Magennis, who spent two years at Rugby Park following his move from Aberdeen in the summer of 2014, has signed a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old, who played in all his country's matches at Euro 2016 in France, scored 18 goals in 70 appearances during his time at Rugby Park.
Speaking of his latest acquisition, Charlton boss Russell Slade said: "Josh will give us a real physical presence up front.
"He has progressed his career over recent years and I see him as a late developer because the early part of his career, as many people will know, wasn't as a forward.
"He has developed that, has got himself in his national team and featured in the Euros this summer. He can score a goal, has got pace, will bring plenty to us and will cause a lot of problems to back fours in this league.
"He was a target that we had been trying to get over the line for a few weeks. In fact, we had him done at one stage, but it didn't happen because the goalposts were moved.
"Fair play to Katrien (Katrien Meire, Charlton chief executive). She got round the table again and managed to get the deal over the line again. Sometimes you think you have got your man and then things can change but we dealt with that situation in a real professional manner and managed to get our man."
Magennis, who will wear the No 9 shirt, began his career as a striker in Northern Ireland before becoming a goalkeeper. In 2008, while on the books of Cardiff City, he reverted to playing as a forward and signed his first professional contract a year later.
He made nine league appearances for the Bluebirds, and two during a loan spell at Grimsby Town, before moving to Aberdeen.
