Middlesbrough defender Adam Jackson will remain at Hartlepool until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old defender joined the Sky Bet League 2 club at the start of November and made his debut in the FA Cup victory over Cheltenham Town.

Jackson has made eight appearances for Hartlepool and his original loan deal expired on Saturday, but he will now remain at the Victoria Ground until May 7.

"We're really pleased that Middlesbrough have allowed Adam to stay with us," Hartlepool manager Ronnie Moore told the club's official website.
