Joe Pigott scored twice as Newport extended their unbeaten run to seven league matches with a 4-1 win over AFC Wimbledon.
The Exiles striker hit two in the second half after defender Ismail Yakubu had given Justin Edinburgh's side the lead with a first-half header. Adebayo Akinfenwa scored his fourth in three games for the Dons but substitute Aaron O'Connor bagged County's fourth in stoppage time. Victory gives Newport back-to-back league wins for the first time this season. Midfielder Robbie Willmott delivered a perfect corner for Yakubu to head the hosts in front with a powerful effort after 18 minutes. And further disaster struck for the visitors just 20 seconds into the second half when Chris Zebroski's shot was saved by James Shea, only for Pigott to bury the rebound. Pigott got his second of the afternoon with a deflected shot from 20 yards just after the hour mark before Akinfenwa pulled one back with a close-range header with 20 minutes to go. But O'Connor finished off the rout with County's fourth from the edge of the box in stoppage time.
