Mounir Obbadi struck a second-half winner as Monaco put their recent little wobble behind them with a 1-0 victory over fellow high-fliers Nantes. Monaco had picked up just one point from their previous two Ligue 1 games - including suffering their first loss of the campaign - but they got their title bid back on track thanks to Obbadi. The Morocco international slotted home the only goal 20 minutes from time as Claudio Ranieri's men kept within a point of second-placed Lille, with leaders Paris St Germain a further four points clear. Nantes, meanwhile, remain in fifth spot after missing the chance to move level with Monaco on 26 points. It was a tough result for Nantes, who will feel they deserved at least a point from the clash. Monaco had the first chance with an Emmanuel Riviere header that flew inches wide but Nantes created the next two opportunities and came close to snatching the lead with a Jordan Veretout shot that was saved by Danijel Subasic and a Filip Djordjevic header that whistled past the post. The visitors really should have taken the lead seven into the second half though when Radamel Falcao freed fellow Colombian James Rodriguez, but he was denied by a crucial block from home keeper Remy Riou. Subasic and Riou then produced further saves, denying Serge Gakpe and Andrea Raggi respectively, before Monaco made the decisive breakthrough. Riou parried out an effort from Rodriguez but the ball went to Anthony Martial who flicked a pass to Obbadi and he thundered a first-time shot past the goalkeeper and into the net.
