Emiliano Sala scored the only goal of the game as Nantes beat Caen to record a fourth straight Ligue 1 victory.
Sala stooped to head home after Amine Harit's shot was deflected on to the crossbar in the 65th minute.
The 1-0 victory moves Sergio Conceicao's side five points clear of the drop zone, while Caen are four points worse off and are still awaiting their first away win of the league campaign.
