Oldham secured back-to-back wins with a 2-1 victory over Morecambe at the Globe Arena.
Goals from Desire Segbe Azankpo and Mohamed Sylla, either side of a Carlos Mendes Gomes strike early in the second half, gave Dino Maamria's side an important three points.
Azankpo gave the visitors the lead on the half-hour as he gratefully accepted a gift from Mark Halstead, who parried Filipe Morais's long-range strike into his path for Azankpo to slot into an empty net from three yards out.
The home side were soon back in the game as they levelled early in the second half. A long ball forward was superbly controlled by Ajay Leitch-Smith, who then teed up Mendes Gomes perfectly for the midfielder to slot the ball under Zeus De La Paz.
Oldham came back strongly from the disappointment of the goal with Azankpo forcing Halstead into a good save with a shot on the turn and Alex Kenyon making a vital intervention to clear Smith's low cross that was heading for Azankpo in the six-yard box.
The Latics sealed the points 15 minutes from time. A cross into the box ended with Jonny Smith seeing a shot blocked but the ball fell perfectly for Sylla, who scored from six yards out.
Star man Smith almost made it 3-1 with a superb effort that hit the top of the Morecambe crossbar, while Kenyon's close-range effort was ruled out for offside four minutes from time.
