Liverpool v Crystal Palace preview: Jurgen Klopp looks to keep up unbeaten run

Liverpool host Crystal Palace on Sunday looking to build on their fine league form following last weekend's 3-1 win over Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp's side, fresh from Thursday's 1-0 win at Rubin Kazan in the Europa League, have 17 points from 11 games this season, and are unbeaten in the Premier League under the German with two draws and a win.

They face a Palace side who have stuttered in recent weeks, sitting 10th in the Premier League under Alan Pardew with no win in their last four games in all competitions.

Team news

Philippe Coutinho is likely to return for Liverpool on Sunday. The Brazil international, scorer of two goals in last weekend's win at Chelsea, was rested for the midweek win in Russia as was Adam Lallana, centre-back Martin Skrtel and midfielder Lucas Leiva, and most are expected to regain their places.

Captain Jordan Henderson is gradually edging closer to fitness after an operation on a broken foot and has started some light running sessions but he is still a few weeks away from being in contention.

Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle faces a late fitness test on his hamstring. The forward's potential absence further weakens Pardew's options, with Connor Wickham and Marouane Chamakh also out, though both are expected to return following the international break.

Lee Chung-yong is struggling with a foot injury and is therefore also expected to miss out, but Pape Souare is in line to feature after returning to full fitness.

Palace seem to have gone off the boil. I remember Palace ripping Liverpool to shreds last year but I don't see it happening again. I feel Jurgen Klopp will turn Liverpool around, especially after that massive result at Chelsea. I still think Palace will put up a decent fight in what will be a hard-fought game, but I just fancy Liverpool.
