Lincoln stretched their lead at the top of Sky Bet League Two to five points with a comfortable 2-0 defeat of 10-man Oldham.
Goals in either half from Harry Toffolo and substitute Danny Rowe ensured a 14th league game without defeat for the Imps, while Jose Baxter's 43rd-minute dismissal made it harder for the visitors.
Oldham started well and tested Imps goalkeeper Matt Gilks twice within the first three minutes, with the veteran stopper saving from Baxter, before palming behind a Mohamed Maouche effort.
City awoke from their slumbers, with Tom Pett bringing a save out of Daniel Iversen before leading scorer John Akinde blazed a Bruno Andrade cross wildly over from just two yards.
City took the lead after half an hour. Toffolo played a neat one-two with Mark O'Hara on the edge of the Oldham box and the left-back burst into the area and fired a right-footed shot past Iversen.
The Latics were reduced to 10 men just before the break when Baxter saw red for a wild lunge on Harry Anderson.
Andrade smashed a 20-yard shot against the bar early in the second half, before City doubled their lead after 57 minutes through Rowe, who curled a brilliant effort into the top corner.
Dominant Lincoln could have made the result more emphatic, but Andrade was denied twice by Iversen, who also thwarted substitute Michael O'Connor.
