Carlisle triumph at Elland Road
Danny Graham and Michael Bridges returned to haunt Leeds as Carlisle won 2-0 at Elland Road to consign Leeds to their first defeat under manager Simon Grayson.
Graham, who had a loan spell at Elland Road in 2006, pounced for his 14th goal of the season in the 26th minute - Graham Kavanagh played the ball out to Cleveland Taylor, whose cross from the right was swept in by Graham from close range.
It was a soft goal to concede and there was more embarrassment for Leeds in the 35th minute when a mix-up between goalkeeper Casper Ankergren and defender Lubo Michalik resulted in Graham playing Bridges through to score from a narrow angle.
Leeds were unsuccessful with their appeals for a penalty when Fabian Delph stumbled under a challenge from Jeff Smith and the home side were booed off at the end of a first half which saw Luciano Becchio waste two opportunities.
Becchio hit a post after the break and on-loan striker Lee Trundle made his Leeds debut from the bench, but with veteran midfielder Kavanagh outstanding in midfield, Carlisle deserved their victory.
