Highlights of Ipswich's 2-1 win over Leeds in the Sky Bet Championship

Ipswich Town recovered from conceding after just 12 seconds to beat Leeds United 2-1 thanks to Brett Pitman's dramatic injury-time winner in their Sky Bet Championship clash on Tuesday evening.

Souleymane Doukara scored the quickest goal of the season so far but Leeds failed to build on their rapid start as they endured their first defeat in nine matches.

Ipswich kipper Luke Chambers grabbed a deserved equaliser for Ipswich five minutes into the second half before Pitman headed home in the second minute of injury time following brilliant work by man of the match Ryan Fraser.

An always-entertaining encounter was lit up with just 12 seconds on the clock when the visitors flew out of the blocks to take the lead.

Chambers' header clear was picked up by Jonathan Douglas but his loose touch allowed Doukara to coolly find the corner of net from the edge of the area.

To their credit, Ipswich responded well and some nice one-touch passing in midfield released Daryl Murphy who twisted and turned before forcing Marco Silvestri into pushing the ball wide of his far post.

It was almost two for Leeds after 12 minutes when Mustapha Carayol broke clear down the left and his low cross was deflected goalwards by Ipswich centre back Tommy Smith who was indebted to keeper Dean Gerken for quick reflexes in tipping the ball over.

Just 60 seconds later, Silvestri was a little fortunate to beat Freddie Sears' powerful drive over before a Kevin Bru shot from distance had the Leeds keeper scampering to his left.

Silvestri was the busier of the two keepers, again being forced to save from Murphy on 28 minutes after a nice interchange of passes from the home side.

An absorbing first half ended with Fraser bringing out a flying one-handed save from Silvestri.

Five minutes after the restart, Ipswich finally got the equaliser their first-half performance had deserved.

Fraser gained himself a yard on the wing before his teasing left-foot cross was headed into the bottom corner by Chambers.

The home side were in the ascendancy and Cole Skuse was inches away from giving Ipswich the lead when he curled a precise shot just wide.

With 19 minutes left, both Murphy and Chambers just failed to get a decisive touch on Bru's teasing cross before Ipswich went agonisingly close to winning the match in the 85th minute.

Sub Luke Hyam's long ball down the wing saw the nippy Fraser beat the onrushing Silvestri but his driven low cross from an acute angle had just too much pace for Pitman.

It mattered not in the 92nd minute when Fraser brilliantly controlled a long clearance before crossing for Pitman to head past Silvestri and push Ipswich up to fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table.
