Harley strike denies Mariners
A Nathan Jarman double secured a point for Grimsby in a 2-2 draw with Exeter.
The visitors went ahead with a superb Marcus Stewart effort after eight minutes before Jarman equalised on the stroke of half-time.
The 22-year-old then put Grimsby ahead nine minutes into the second half only for substitute Ryan Harley to claim a point in the 77th minute.
Exeter went ahead with a bit of quick thinking at a free-kick. Dean Moxey took it quickly and with Grimsby still backtracking Stewart curled a fine left-footed shot into the top corner.
Grimsby's equaliser was a scrappy affair with Adam Proudlock's mishit shot finding its way through to Jarman who fired home with his left foot from close range.
Joe Widdowson set up Grimsby's second with a long raking free-kick which Jarman duly hammered home, however Harley grabbed a point for the Grecians when he picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box and fired a powerful shot into the corner.
