Augusto Fernandez struck a late winner as Celta Vigo continued their recent revival with a 2-1 win at Granada.

Augusto Fernandez struck a late winner as Celta Vigo continued their recent revival with a 2-1 win at Granada. Gustavo Cabral's 28th-minute opener for Celta was cancelled out by Youssef El Arabi just before the break but the visitors would be denied as Fernandez netted the decider two minutes from time. That gave Celta a third win in four league matches this month, lifting them up to 11th place on 25 points - one place and one point above Granada, who have now lost four of their last six. Granada have struggled at home this season, losing seven of their previous 11 league matches at Los Carmenes, but it might have been a different story on Friday if Yacine Brahimi's 19th-minute shot had found the back of the net instead of being tipped round the post by Celta keeper Yoel. The hosts could not make anything of the corner either, and within 10 minutes they were trailing as a diving Cabral headed home at the far post following great work down the left by Rafinha. Granada did not take long to get back on level terms though, with Morocco international El Arabi continuing his productive season when he climbed above his marker to glance home Jose Recio's corner from the edge of the six-yard box, the ball going in off the far post. Both sides pushed for a winner in the second half but it looked as though the points would be shared until Fernandez's late intervention. The Argentina international swooped in the 88th minute to slot the ball home from close range after Roberto had pushed out a low Michael Krohn-Delhi cross which he could have left.
