Miroslav Klose bagged a brace as Germany eased to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Kazakhstan.
Thomas Muller also netted twice for Joachim Low's side as they took another important step on the road to Euro 2012.
Victory on Saturday helped to take Germany eight points clear at the top of Group A, with Belgium, Austria and Turkey all hoping to close that gap on Tuesday.
Low had called on his players to entertain prior to kick-off and they did not disappoint against a Kazak side which struggled to find its feet.
Some dreadful defending after just three minutes presented Klose with an opportunity to break the deadlock, and the prolific frontman made no mistake as slotted home from close range.
The hosts were relentless throughout the first half, with wave after wave of attacks peppering the visiting goal.
Dangerous
It became only a matter of time before a second arrived and Muller duly provided some breathing space for Low's men on 25 minutes.
Mesut Ozil whipped over a dangerous set-piece and the Bayern Munich forward was on hand to nod into the corner.
The 22-year-old then made it three just before the break, chesting down another cross from Ozil before firing past the helpless David Loria.
Germany took their foot off the gas after the interval, much to the frustration of those inside the Fritz-Wlater Stadium.
Kazakhstan even created a few chances of their own, but they ultimately came to nothing.
Instead it was the hosts who wrapped things up with a fourth two minutes from time, with Klose tapping home his 61st international goal - moving him seven behind Gerd Muller's all-time record for Germany.
