Evian claimed a 2-1 comeback victory over Bastia as they extended their unbeaten run to four matches.

Evian claimed a 2-1 comeback victory over Bastia as they extended their unbeaten run to four matches and moved eight points clear of the Ligue 1 relegation zone. Florian Raspentino put the visitors ahead at the game approached the half-hour mark, but Nicolas Benezet equalised four minutes later and Daniel Wass grabbed the winner for Evian at the start of the second half. The win moved Pascal Dupraz's side up two places to 15th in the standings ahead of Sunday's action, while Bastia - who have collected just one point from their last three games - have dropped down a spot into the bottom half of the table. The away side started brightest and in the opening 10 minutes Christian Romaric went close, his curling free-kick cleared off the line by defender Cedric Mongongu. Minutes later Evian defender Youssouf Sabaly almost handed his side the lead after collecting Marco Ruben's cross from the right, but his stunning effort was deflected away by visiting goalkeeper Mickael Landreau. After 29 minutes the Blues took the lead. Djibril Cisse headed on Gianni Bruno's pass from the left and Raspentino slotted home a close-range volley - the goal going in via a slight deflection off Mongongu. Wass had an effort punched away by Landreau two minutes later, before the hosts grabbed an equaliser. Benezet met Kevin Berigaud's cross at the near post and despatched a simple low finish past Landreau. Three minutes after the break the Pinks grabbed their second, Wass powering home a fierce 25-yard free-kick. Frederic Hantz's visitors almost levelled through Cisse's close-range header, but his effort went over the bar as Evian held on for the points.
