David Unsworth and Joe Royle will take charge of Everton as they finish their season at home to Norwich on Sunday.
The Toffees are on the search for a new permanent manager following the sacking of Roberto Martinez on Thursday.
Although they reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup and Capital One Cup, the Toffees have picked up only four points since March 5 and the 3-0 loss to Sunderland on Wednesday stretched their dismal run of form to just one win in 10 matches in all competitions.
They will now look to finish a disappointing league campaign on a high against the team they relegated on Wednesday by losing to Sunderland.
The Canaries are heading back to the Championship along with Newcastle and Aston Villa, and manager Alex Neil expects changes in the summer.
"There will have to come a certain amount of freshness. A lot of players have been here for a number of years and that carries its own problems at times," he said.
"We've got the basis of a really good squad. Looking at the squad we've got, how we would've hoped to have performed, I don't think we hit those heights and ultimately that's where we've got to."
Team news
Tim Howard will make a final appearance in goal for Everton before leaving after 10 years to return home to the United States, where he will join the Colorado Rapids.
Captain Phil Jagielka has returned to training following a hamstring injury while full-back Seamus Coleman will have a late fitness test on a similar problem.
Norwich could be unchanged as they will still be without midfielder Jonny Howson (knee), defender Timm Klose (knee) and midfielder Alex Tettey (ankle).

The last few weeks they have been absolutely atrocious. Norwich will be deflated after their relegation and Everton will turn it on.
