Ecuador 2-2 Peru: Miller Bolanos completes comeback at Copa America
Thursday 9 June 2016 09:30, UK
Miller Bolanos hit the equaliser as Ecuador rallied from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Peru in the Copa America in Glendale.
Christian Cueva and Edison Flores had Peru 2-0 up early in the first half at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Wednesday night before goals from Enner Valencia and Bolanos earned Ecuador a share of the spoils.
The point enabled Peru to move level with Brazil - who thrashed Haiti 7-1 - at the top of Group B, with Ecuador two points adrift heading into the final group games.
Peru went ahead just five minutes into the contest when Paolo Guerrero picked out Cueva and he turned defender Gabriel Achilier to fire past Alexander Dominguez in the Ecuador goal.
And they doubled their advantage in the 13th minute, with Guerrero again the architect as he got a glancing header onto a long free-kick and the ball fell to Flores to score at the far post.

Ecuador hauled themselves back into the game six minutes before the interval when Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia's ball found namesake Enner Valencia, who made no mistake to score his 15th international goal.
La Tri were level just three minutes into the second half when Jefferson Montero and Christian Noboa combined to set up Bolanos to tap home the equaliser.
In the final Group B games on Sunday, Ecuador face Haiti in New Jersey while Peru meet Brazil in Foxborough.
The tournament continues on Thursday with the second round of games in Group C - Uruguay take on Venezuela in Philadelphia before Mexico play Jamaica at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
