Leigh Griffiths is back in contention for the Premiership visit of St Johnstone after missing Sunday's Scottish Cup victory over Albion Rovers with a calf injury.
Erik Sviatchenko returns from suspension but Mikael Lustig faces a late test after coming off against Rovers with a stiff back.
New arrival from Russian side Krasnodar, Kouassi Eboue, will have to wait for his debut, while Tom Rogic (ankle) remains out.
If they can avoid defeat on Wednesday, Celtic will stretch their unbeaten domestic run to 26 games, equalling a landmark set by Jock Stein's Lisbon Lions during the 1966-67 season.
Manager Brendan Rodgers said: "To be talked in the same breath as those guys - who really created the legend of this club - would be a huge privilege.
"We have really tried to look to win our games no matter the consequences of it. We have a lot of hard work to do - St Johnstone will be a tough test for us, particularly away from home they've done very well."
Murray Davidson is back in the St Johnstone squad after recovering from illness.
Former Dundee United defender Keith Watson will make his Premiership debut for Saints with fellow right-back Richard Foster suspended after passing the booking threshold.
Michael Coulson (calf) and Ally Gilchrist (groin) remain on the sidelines.
Saints boss Tommy Wright is under no illusions about the size of the task awaiting his side but takes heart from some decent displays on the road this season.
He told The Courier: "Of course it would be nice to beat them but you can only think about that afterwards.
"Our away record has been good this season - apart from the last game against Dundee - but we have to get to the levels we've shown before.
You go there as underdogs, so there's the chance to prove people wrong and we like that. Nobody expects us to get anything from it so you can use that."
