Celtic will wrap up a seventh consecutive Scottish Premiership title if they beat Rangers, live on Sky Sports Football on Sunday.
Celtic hold a 10-point lead over their nearest challengers - with Rangers and Aberdeen level on points in second and third - but a 2-1 defeat at Hibs last weekend left the champagne on ice for Brendan Rodgers' side.
He previously accused the Scottish Football Association of being scared to allow Celtic to win the title against their biggest rivals, but fate has made it so after they passed up two opportunities to do so already.
Rangers boss Graeme Murty's tough spell at Ibrox came under fresh scrutiny this week, with initial talks taking place with Steven Gerrard.
Murty has lost two and drawn one of his three games with Celtic since taking the reins in October, with a 4-0 humiliation in the Scottish Cup semi-final a fortnight ago leading to fan protests following last weekend's win over Hearts.
The Gers boss was in defiant mood ahead of the Old Firm derby, and said he would do his best to keep himself in the Ibrox hotseat.
He said: "I'm in the role currently. I love the role and will do everything I possibly can to keep it. I'll be fighting as hard as I can in these last four games to finish as high up the table as I possibly can.
"I think I've done a good job so far and I am desperate for the opportunity to bring in my own players and put my real stamp on the team.
"The club knows I want this job. If I win the next four games, you never know. Why not? Go win the next four games, finish in Europe, finish high up and then I think I'll have fulfilled the remit I was given when I first came in to the letter - and I doubt quite honestly if there is anyone else who could have done it as good as I have for a first job."
Moussa Dembele was absent from the Celtic side beaten at Hibernian last weekend, but is expected to be fit to return to action for the potential title-decider.
Rangers' Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace both remain suspended for Rangers for disciplinary issues following the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat, while goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and defender Bruno Alves are both doubts.
Celtic are unbeaten in their last eight Scottish Premiership matches against Rangers (W6 D2), winning by a 5-1 score line in two of those games.
Rangers have won just one of their last 10 trips to Celtic Park in the top-flight (D4 L5), a 3-1 victory back in October 2010.
Celtic lost their third league game of the season against Hibernian last time out (1-2); however, all three defeats have come away from home with their last defeat in the league at Celtic Park coming back in December 2015 (P45 W35 D10 since).
Rangers have lost just two of their last 21 league games away from home (W14 D5), having lost three consecutive away matches prior to this run.
Daniel Candeias has been directly involved in four of Rangers last five Scottish Premiership goals (two goals, two assists).
