Federico Fazio sent off on Sevilla return in Celta Vigo draw
Sunday 7 February 2016 21:23, UK
Federico Fazio was sent off on his second Sevilla debut but saw his side hold out for a 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday.
The defender rejoined the club on loan from Tottenham earlier in the week and was dismissed for two bookable offences inside the opening 24 minutes at Balaidos.
Sevilla, who thrashed the same opponents 4-0 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final in midweek, responded well to score through Daniel Carrico, but Claudio Beauvue claimed a point for the hosts.
Fazio's Spurs career began in similarly frustrating circumstances as he was dismissed on his first Premier League appearance against Manchester City.
On this occasion, the Argentina defender picked up his first booking in the third minute and then saw red midway through the first half after a late challenge on Pablo Hernandez.

The visitors recovered from the setback and took the lead two minutes before half-time.
Fernando Llorente had a powerful header from a corner blocked on the line, but Carrico was in the right place to pounce on the rebound.
Celta upped the pressure in the second half with Carles Planas going close and Beauvue putting a good chance over. Nemanja Radoja also forced a save from Sergio Rico.
The hosts finally struck after 64 minutes as Daniel Wass controlled a long ball and played it into the path for Beauvue to tuck home.
Iago Aspas twice went close to winning it for Celta, but Sevilla held on as Rico blocked substitute John Guidetti.
